Asking clients to pre-pay for appointment bookings when they book their appointment online or through the mobile app can help streamline your payments process.
Before you can take pre-payments make sure your account is integrated with Stripe. Once that is done any appointments requiring pre-payments will be processed at the time of booking.
On the main menu go to Settings.
Click on the the sub-menu Appointments, classes & memberships and then Appointment types.
Requesting pre-payments for appointment bookings can be turned on when you are creating a new appointment type or you can edit an existing appointment type by clicking on the three dots and selecting Edit.

For Payment required when booking select Yes. If you have a billing item linked it will automatically populate the price form the billable item, however you can change this to a lower amount. You will not be able to charge more than the billable item linked to the appointment.
TIP Clients will not be able to cancel their own appointments through the mobile app if they have pre-paid for an appointment.
β
If you have taken a partial payment (that is, the pre-payment amount was less than the total cost of the appointment) an invoice will be created showing both the pre-payment amount and the outstanding amount. The outstanding amount can then be paid at a later time.
