What this explainer covers
Most reports share the same set of filters and date controls along the top of the page. This guide explains what each one does so the individual report guides can simply link here instead of repeating it. Not every report offers every filter. Each report guide notes which ones it has and any controls that are unique to it.
Filter choices are remembered for you. When you set filters on a report, Pogozo saves your selection so the report opens the same way next time.
The common filters
Location
Limits the report to a single business location. Leave it unset to include all of your locations together. On reports where it applies, this is the recurring Location filter you'll see across the Reports area.
Team member / Practitioner
Limits the report to one staff member. The label on this filter changes depending on the report:
On appointment-based reports it reads Practitioner.
On class-based and payment-based reports it reads Team member.
It's the same kind of filter in both cases — only the wording differs to match the context.
Membership
On membership-related reports, limits the results to a chosen membership type.
Type and category filters
On appointment and class reports you can narrow the results by appointment or class type and category. You might do this for example, to look at just one service.
The date controls
All Time / Date Range / Single Day
Many reports include a date preset with three options:
All Time - this includes every record, with no date limit.
Date Range - where you pick a start date and an end date; the report covers that window.
Single Day - where you pick one date and the report covers just that day. (When you choose Single Day, Pogozo sets the end date to match the start date for you.)
Changing the preset clears any dates you'd already picked, so set the preset first and then choose your dates.
Date range picker
On reports that always work over a period (such as the Clinic reports), you pick a start and end date directly. Some of these reports won't show any data until you've chosen a date range and will prompt you to pick one first.
Year and year-range
A few reports (for example the yearly revenue comparison) work by whole calendar years rather than a free date range. On those you choose a year, or a range of years to compare.
Report-specific controls
Some reports add their own filters on top of the common ones — for example Aged Debtors buckets on Outstanding invoices, a Prepayment filter, or a Status type selector on the Uninvoiced reports. Those are documented in each report's own guide.
