Class categories let you group your class types so clients can find what they're looking for faster when booking online. They're optional, if your business only has a handful of class types, you may not need them at all.
Class types can also be used for filtering reports more easily too.
Create a class category
Go to Settings, Appointments, classes & memberships then click on Class categories.
Click Create Class category.
Enter a Category name, this is what clients will see when they're browsing your booking page or on the mobile app.
TIP You can use class categories to group together class types. For example you may have a Pilates category, then the class types might be refomer Pilates, mat Pilates, Mums and Bubs Pilates etc.
Another example of categories could be grouping classes by age range for a paediatric clinics.
Optionally enter a Category description to give a bit more context about the category.
Click Create class category.
TIP You can duplicate an existing category instead of starting from scratch. Click the three-dot menu next to any category and select Duplicate.
Assign class types to a category
Once your categories exist, go to Settings , Appointments, classes & memberships and then click on Class types and create new class or open the class type you want to update.
In the Class details section, choose a category from the Category dropdown. Select No category to leave the class type uncategorised.
Click Save changes.
Repeat for each class type you want to assign.
TIP Class types without a category are still bookable, they just won't be filtered when a client picks a category. If you've set up categories, it's worth assigning all your class types so the filtering works as expected.
