What this report shows

The Referrals report shows where your clients came from, which referral source each one is attributed to, and what share of your client base each source represents. Use it to see which channels (word of mouth, online, other clinics, and so on) are bringing you the most clients.

What's on the page

Referrals chart

A column chart showing how many clients came from each referral source, so you can compare sources at a glance.

Referrals summary table

A table that breaks down your clients by referral source, with these columns:

  • Referral Source means the source clients were referred from.

  • Number of Clients shows how many clients are attributed to that source.

  • Percentage is that source's share of your total clients (see How the numbers are calculated below).

The table also includes a No referral source row for clients who don't have a referral source recorded, so every client is accounted for.

Referrals detail table

Below the summary there's a detail table listing the individual clients, one row per client, with the referral source each one is attributed to.

How the numbers are calculated

Percentage per referral source

Percentage = that source's number of clients ÷ your total number of clients × 100

  • That source's number of clients = how many clients are attributed to the referral source on that row.

  • Total number of clients = every client in the report, across all sources.

Worked example: you have 200 clients in total and 50 of them came from "Google" → 50 ÷ 200 × 100 = 25% of your clients came from Google.

The "No referral source" row

No referral source clients = your total number of clients − the clients who do have a referral source recorded.

Any client without a referral source on their record falls into this row, so the counts across every source plus the "No referral source" row add up to your whole client base.

Worked example: 200 total clients and 180 of them have a referral source recorded → the No referral source row shows 200 − 180 = 20 clients.
