The PatientNotes Chrome extension lets you record and transcribe clinical notes directly from within Pogozo, with the client's name pre-filled and your note pasted straight into the treatment note field when you're done.
Step 1 - Install the Chrome extension
Open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store. Search for PatientNotes Launcher or click here to install directly. Click Add to Chrome,
Then select Add extension when prompted.
Once installed, click the puzzle icon in your Chrome toolbar, find PatientNotes Launcher, and click the pin icon to keep it visible in your toolbar.
TIP: Pinning the extension is essential - the PatientNotes icon won't appear inside Pogozo unless the extension is pinned. If you can't see the icon in Pogozo, this is the first thing to check.
Step 2 - Set up split screen (recommended)
For the best experience, run Pogozo and PatientNotes side by side.
Open your PatientNotes extension and login to your PatientNotes account.
Open Pogozo in Chrome and login to your Pogozo account.
Then right-click the PatientNotes tab at the top of the browser and select Move tab to split view.
Both apps will now sit side by side - no tab switching needed.
TIP: Prefer a cleaner setup? In Extension Settings, switch to Single Tab mode. PatientNotes will always open and reload into the same tab automatically.
Step 3 - Start a session from Pogozo
Open a Client's Profile in Pogozo and go to Treatment Notes. A floating PatientNotes icon will appear on the right side of the page.
Click the icon - PatientNotes will open with the client's name already pre-filled.
TIP: Can't see the floating icon? Move your cursor to the right edge of the Pogozo page - it fades in on hover.
Select your Prompt Template and click Start to enter the recording screen.
Step 4 - Complete your session
When you're done recording click Stop recording, your notes will take a moment to generate.
Review your generated note in PatientNotes and click Mark as Complete. Your note is instantly copied to your clipboard and you're returned to Pogozo ready to paste.
Step 5 - Paste your note into Pogozo
Click into any text field in your treatment note in Pogozo.
A PatientNotes paste icon will appear in the bottom-right corner of the field, click it to paste your note instantly.
TIP: Can't see the paste icon? Scroll to the bottom of the text field - it'll appear there. Alternatively, use ⌘+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows) - your note is already on your clipboard.
Using PatientNotes for letters and summaries
The same workflow applies when creating referral letters, discharge summaries, and GP reports.
Go to the Documents tab in the client's profile and click Add document/letter. Generate your letter in PatientNotes.
TIP: The Document template is a required field in Pogozo, you may want to create a blank template for your PatientNote letters.
Next click Mark as Complete. The report/letter is copied to your clipboard.
Then click into the letter text field in Pogozo. The PatientNotes paste icon will appear - click it to drop your letter straight in.
