What this report shows
The Revenue by stock report (in the Financial tab) shows how much revenue each product in your shop has generated and how much tax was collected. Use it to understand which items are driving the most income over time.
It has two panels: a monthly trend chart and an itemised revenue/tax table.
How to open it
Reports → Financial → Revenue by stock.
Revenue by stock (monthly trend)
A column chart of revenue per stock item, broken down by month across a selected year — handy for spotting seasonal patterns or comparing products month by month.
Year — choose which year to view.
Location — narrow to one or more locations, or leave on All.
Shop Item — focus on specific products, or leave on All.
The chart updates automatically when you change a filter.
Revenue by stock (itemised)
A paginated table of every stock item with its total revenue and tax collected (10 items per page). The first row on page 1 is always a Business Total row showing combined revenue and tax across all items matching your current filters.
Date — set a date range, or leave blank to include all time.
Location and Shop Item — work the same way as the chart. These filters are independent, so changing them here doesn't affect the chart above.
Columns are Item Name, Total Revenue and Tax. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to move between pages.
Note: the Business Total row only appears on page 1, and reflects the total across all items matching your filters — not just the items on the current page.
Printing and exporting
Each panel has its own Print (PDF) and Export (CSV) icons. If a result set is over 1,000 rows, printing to PDF isn't available and you'll be offered a CSV export instead. See Printing and exporting reports.
Revenue by stock vs Sold stock
This report shows aggregate revenue from stock sales. If you need a line-by-line breakdown of individual transactions — including quantity sold, cost price and profit — use the Sold stock report instead.
